Sustainability

Carbon Neutral, Future Positive

We believe a company cannot be sustainable if it focuses on environmental concerns without looking at its impacts on its employees, tenants, and communities. Our efforts significantly reduce our environmental footprint, enhancing our client’s comfort, health, and financial savings.
We have aligned our objectives with the Vietnam and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will continue to use the SDGs to help refine our objectives in the coming years.
In 2022 we have undertaken to enhance our carbon neutral operations through a combination of strategies including building energy efficiency improvements, onsite renewables, offsite renewables, renewable energy certificates, and verified carbon offsets becoming the one of the first Vietnamese Development Companies to undertake this meaningful commitment.

CSR

Responsible Investment & Social Responsibility
DEVCOM is committed to investing responsibly and acting as a responsible corporate citizen.

Responsible investing is foundational to our culture, with Environmental, Social and Governance factors incorporated in each of our investment strategies and in our overriding investment process. ESG has been a key focus for DEVCOM since inception and we continue to evolve our responsible investment processes and capabilities to ensure they consistently meet the highest of standards.

We also set the highest standards for corporate social responsibility with regards to our day-to-day operations and relationships with clients, shareholders, investee companies, employees and the wider community.

We understand that a company’s approach to ESG factors may result in not only opportunities, but may also impact the wider community and the environment.

We fully integrate responsible investment into the investment process, by considering ESG factors within the same framework that all investment risks and opportunities (operational, financial and valuational) are considered. Hence, integration of ESG factors in each investment case is best achieved by the investment team and not by a siloed ESG team.
